Now For YOga
Now for Yoga is the ongoing heart work of Cate Geard.
Cate experienced her first Yoga classes at the Relaxation Centre of Queensland in 1996.
After many years of dabbling in different classes, different styles, and guided by wonderful teachers, in 2010 Cate chose to dedicate herself to the path of Yoga, by embarking on the Yoga Teacher Training co-offered by Radiant Light Yoga - Adam and Maaji Bornstein, on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and by Shelly Fruend in Albury, NSW.
Embracing Yoga tools for relaxation and strength of mind, body and spirit, she has since been enjoying the journey of everyday living, as a field of Yogic experimentation: daily practising of Yoga has created a balanced effect on Cate and a solid connection to inner Peace and Joy. Every situation is an opportunity to learn, and to offer compassion and love to the Self and to others.
Cate is grateful to the rural communities of the King Valley for supporting her teaching work of the last 7 years, and is now teaching these Yoga-tools-for-life at The Breathing Room in Wangaratta.
Cate has a love of Nature as guide to seeing and appreciating beauty, and as a pathway to a Now presence that is still, yet ever-expanding joy. To feel into Cate's inspirations, follow the blog on Instagram.
Cate enjoys playing with colour, texture and form and works as an artist and community arts' educator with her colleague, Jacquie Coupé for ARTSPARKS.
Cate is also a life student of languages, one of which is Music, enjoyed through Kirtan - Yoga singing.
Another is French, which she loves teaching to Primary School students as another aspect of her work.
Cate is a registered member of Yoga Australia.
